Mission, Values & Beliefs
Our functioning as a ministry is non-denominational, namely because we strive to be full of the Holy Spirit and led by the Scriptures. This is not to say that other denominations are not aligned with Scripture, but we are not about decrees and making a worship out of our beliefs, and the laws of God, we stand on the word and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” – John 4:23-24.
Our Beliefs
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift from God, and can never be earned nor worked for, it is solely the work of Christ through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead on the third day. Therefore, salvation is obtained by an act of simple faith in Christ for the remission of sins, and given as a gift from God to everyone who believes.
Eternal Security
We believe in the security of the believer, that once one places their trust in Christ, God therefore seals the believer unto the day of redemption.
The Authority of the Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, infallible, inerrant, and altogether trustworthy. All texts of Scripture and its precepts are given for our instruction, character development, for understanding and insight to the character and knowledge of God.
The Trinity
We believe there is one true God, creator of all things, and yet is distinctly three persons, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Eschatology
We believe in the immediate return of Jesus Christ, and although there may be several views concerning eschatology, we believe in the catching away of all believers and will meet our Lord
and savior in the air. We believe in a literal world-wide judgment on all unbelievers, in which God will have already removed His church and will now at this time deal with the unbelieving world both Jews and Gentiles. We believe that these terrible days of tribulation is the working of God to motivate repentance and faith in Christ.
The Person of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who is the second person of the trinity, and is the savior of all mankind. He eternally coexisted with God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit before the creation of the world. Jesus is fully God, who also became fully human conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life, proving that He is the Son of God come in the flesh, and was crucified for the sins of the world, and was raised from the dead on the third day. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father, making intercession for the saints and working in and through His church.
The Person and work of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity, who was sent by Jesus Christ to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, sin because all have fallen short of the glory of God and His standards, righteousness, because righteousness can only be obtained by Jesus Christ, and judgment because sin and the overthrow of Satan happened at the cross of Christ and His resurrection. The work of the Holy Spirit is also evidenced in the church through and in the believer, to aid in the fulfillment of the Great Commission, the preaching of the gospel and a fruitful life in service for God and His eternal kingdom.
Stewardship
We believe everything good is from God, that He alone is Creator and Owner, and we are stewards and managers of all He has entrusted to us, which includes time, treasure, and talent, and as an act of worship and thankfulness for all that God has done for us and is actively doing for us, we give financially back to the work of the kingdom.
Marriage
We believe marriage is a God given institution designed for a man and a woman, and is blessed by God and is symbolic of Christ and his church.
Humanity
We believe God created mankind for a relationship, and that we are made in the image of God, thus when Adam disobeyed God, all of mankind was affected by the fall. Therefore, as humans we are born into the world separated from God in need of salvation.
Evangelism
We believe that it is the mission of the church to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, that each one of us have been called by God to share the wonderful news of salvation and to show all the world the love of God that resides within us. We affirm and believe the words of Christ, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
